Here find artists, craftspeople and cultural institutions showcasing the area’s creativity and history. Beyond the cultural organizations, the landscape itself is alive with lessons. Walk village streets lined with historic homes, visit artists in their studios, tour landmarks, come for craft fairs! There is so much to inspire, so much to enjoy!

Experience live local music all summer. Join us at Tuesday Concerts on The Green held each week from 6 – 8 pm.  In case of rain, concerts will be held at Riley Rink  – Hunter Park.

Some of our cultural  highlights include: The Southern Vermont Arts Center showcasing the works of local artists in Yester House and rotating exhibits in the Wilson Museum.

Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home, offers tours of the family home built by Robert Todd Lincoln, oldest and only surviving son of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln. Enjoy beautiful gardens and walking trails on this 412 acre estate.

Robert Frost Stone House Museum showcasing the works of one of New England’s most revered poets.

Enjoy performances at the Dorset Theatre Festival in the summer, Dorset Players productions in the winter and the Weston Playhouse offering summer entertainment for all ages.

The Manchester Music Festival offers classical performances throughout the year and special children’s programs.

Travel along the Vermont Marble Trail and capture the history of Vermont’s largest industry in the 19th and 20th century.

Watch local crafters at work. Visit Manchester Hot Glass and see a demonstration of glassblowing by Andrew Weil, a local craftsman or visit artists along the Vermont Art Trail.
