FISHING

Fishing is very popular in Wales. There are over two hundred rivers which contain salmon and trout. There’s also open sea fishing on the coast.

GOLF

Golf in Wales is fast becoming one of the most popular sports. There are more than a hundred courses. There are more than 200 courses of all sizes and difficulty levels, including the Celtic Manor Resort course in Newport, which will host the 2010 Ryder Cup.

SURFING

Surfing conditions are ideal in West Wales with good waves on the Atlantic Ocean.

HIKE TOURISM

Wales is very popular with hikers. There are many breathtaking landscapes: mountains, valleys, meadows. The route can be taken through national parks with their unique nature.

There are many long hiking trails and routes. For example, the 270-kilometer trail along Offa’s Dyke Shaft (Offa’s Dyke Path). The entire route runs along the Anglo-Welsh border, which dates back more than 1,000 years. You can walk it in 11 days.
